Supply Chain Analyst
Janet Makena a supply chain analyst, is a certified biomedical technologist and is currently undertaking a Master’s in Public Health. She has over 6 years of experience working with international NGOs in program management and monitoring and evaluation. Janet is passionate about developing, testing and implementing sustainable and innovative health systems strengthening approaches and use of data to advocate for changes in the public health system in Kenya.
Previously, Janet worked for the Fred Hollows Foundation and was responsible for implementing an eye health program in Busia. During this period, she engaged the County Health leadership to advocate for increased funding for eye care services alongside implementing other demand generation, service delivery and quality improvement (data & clinical) approaches geared towards increasing uptake of ophthalmic services in the County.
Janet worked at IntraHealth International in various roles among them Senior M&E officer. She was responsible for updating and maintaining training databases, generating and preparing various internal and external reports and tracking the performance of various projects using results frameworks. She was also involved in the development of protocols and data collection tools for assessments and evaluations, supervision of data collection activities and conducting data analysis among other routine M&E tasks.
