Matiko Machagge has over ten years of professional experience in public health supply chain management (SCM) in Tanzania. He is well-versed and experienced in supply chain system designs and strengthening and SCM capacity building for human resources for public health SCM. Matiko has played a major role in the design and implementation of all supply chain systems in Tanzania, including developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and tools for public health supply chain systems. He was instrumental in the design and building organization capacity to logistics management units for both mainland and Zanzibar. Also he has built SCM capacity to Ministry of Health officials, district and regional health management teams and health care workers. He has extensive field experience in strengthen supply chain data collection, integrity and use at health facilities through implementing eLMIS and ILSGateway systems. Matiko has a passion for use of technology such as unpiloted aerial vehicles (UAVs) to improve supply chains. He has held various positions within the JSI Tanzania office from public health logistic advisor up to Director level position.
