Dr. Wambui Waithaka is a pharmacist and public health specialist with 12 years’ experience in supply chain management, health systems strengthening and project management. She has worked in the Kenyan health sector at all levels of the public health system and also as a regional supply chain advisor. She has worked previously with Management Sciences for Health and Catholic Relief Services, focusing on various health development programs such as HIV, reproductive and maternal child health. Her main responsibilities have been to offer technical support and building local capacity to improve program outcomes; she is particularly skilled in supply chain logistics and data management (analytics, visualization and use). She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (Health Services Management) from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine as well as certification in Humanitarian Medical Logistics from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport through Fritz Institute, UK. Wambui is passionate about improving national health systems (especially maternal and child health) and enabling access to quality services by underprivileged communities.
