Dr. Muka Chikuba-McLeod

Dr. Muka Chikuba-McLeod serves as the President and CEO of JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. (JSI). A medical doctor and accomplished business strategist, she is currently leading JSI’s public health, healthcare and education work into a new phase of market expansion and measurable global impact. Dr. Chikuba-McLeod is widely recognized for leading transformative programs that deliver life-saving health services and interventions. Her approach is defined by a commitment to data-driven innovation, strong stakeholder partnerships, and evidence-based programming that ensures efficiency and sustainability. She builds deep, trust-based relationships with donors, clients, government agencies and communities to drive public health impact.

Previously, as the first Executive Vice President of JSI’s International Division, she spearheaded a major shift toward a country-led model, prioritizing local expertise and strengthening collaboration with governments and communities. She excels at mentoring cross-functional teams and optimizing service delivery models, ensuring JSI remains a leader in supply chain management, digital health, infectious disease response, maternal/child health, and education. Dr. Chikuba-McLeod holds a Master of Science in Epidemiology from Harvard University, School of Public Health; a Master of Public Health in International Health from Boston University, School of Public Health; and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Zambia.
