After years of working on health supply chains with JSI, Yasmin returned to Kenya and saw both promise and gaps. Too often, solutions were designed far from where the impact was felt, leaving African talent underutilized in shaping outcomes. With support from JSI and the Gates Foundation, she set out to prove that transformation could be driven from within, anchored in local voices, expertise, and ownership.

inSupply was intentionally designed to be different: nimble, innovative, people-centered, and rooted in East Africa. It would be a learning organization and an authentic partner, contextualizing solutions that were scalable, sustainable, and grounded in technical excellence. JSI provided a launchpad of systems and mentorship, but Yasmin ensured the heart of inSupply was distinctly African, accountable locally, and solving local challenges with local talent.

Today, inSupply Health stands as proof of that conviction. What began as a supply chain advisory firm has grown into a trusted partner in human-centered design, data and innovation, adaptive learning, and expanding access, still rooted in the founding belief that dignity, capability, and leadership thrive when solutions are created and led by those who live them.
